A conference dedicated to the memory of

Claude Berge

will be held July 5 - 9, 2004, in Paris at the Couvent des Cordeliers a campus of the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris 6. The main focus of the conference is graph theory, with particular emphasis on the topics to which Claude Berge contributed.

The scientific program will comprise plenary lectures, contributed talks and poster sessions.

PLENARY LECTURES These will be expository lectures addressed to a broad mathematical audience. The plenary speakers will be

CONTRIBUTED TALKS There will be several parallel sessions consisting of 25-minute contributed talks.

POSTER SESSIONS Because of space and time constraints, the number of contributed talks will necessarily be limited. Poster sessions will be organised to accommodate others wishing to present their work.

The deadline for proposals of contributed talks and posters has been extended to March 15, 2004. Proposals should be made on the preregistration form. All submissions will be reviewed, and notification will be sent out by May 5, 2004. It is planned to publish the plenary lectures and contributed talks in a conference proceedings.

REGISTRATION The registration fee is 160 euros if received by June 5, 2004, and 200 euros afterwards. It will cover conference materials and the conference banquet. FINANCIAL SUPPORT We hope to have a limited number of grants available for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and other participants with special needs, to partially cover registration fees and/or local expenses. If you are in one of these categories and require such support, please indicate this on the preregistration form, preferably not later than January 31, 2004.
